Monique Stephanie Carmona. The HMUA who did my and my sister's make-up for Cess and Aaron's wedding.

I rarely wear makeup. In fact, the last time I had my face done by a professional makeup artist was when I married my husband way back in 2012. I don't know how to do it, that's why. So whenever special occasions like participating in a wedding come knocking-in, I always make sure I would look decent by availing the service of a professional HMUA.

I've worked with a few hair and makeup artists before, but I've never really found a good one. Even the HMUA I got for my wedding wasn't able to keep up with my expectations. To be honest, my husband didn't like the way I looked during our wedding, too. I was saddened when I learned about it. Nevertheless, I was grateful he didn't back out and leave me on the altar ala "runaway groom."

Finding a good HMUA is indeed a challenging task. Good thing the internet was invented, for it had basically made my search for the perfect HMUA a lot easier.

Monique was referred to me by a former classmate. I checked her portfolio via Facebook and immediately liked her work. I love how she makes her clients look oh-so-naturally-pretty without breaking their bank accounts. You know, it's easy to name names of renowned makeup artists, but their rates are overly expensive. I mean, I'm not just the kind of person who would splurge on such service. Afterall, I'm only playing the role of a secondary sponsor for the said occasion, so might as well find someone whose talent fee is much more affordable and within my budget. #kuripotproblems

Apart from her undeniable talent, I also like how Monique deals with her clients. She's easy to talk to, responsive to inquiries, and very professional. Not to mention, the products that she's using are also of high quality made by reputable brands.
