Review: The Farm's Accommodations (Anahaw Family Villa and Sulu Terraces)

5:15 AM

This is the second part of my travel review of The Farm at San Benito.  As I have mentioned in my previous post, we were supposed to avail two Anahaw Family Villas but due to some unfortunate events, we ended up booking the Sulu Terraces as well.  Anyway, I consider what happened as a blessing in disguise (for this blog) since I will be able to show you two different accommodations of The Farm.

Anahaw Family Villa

This is where our family, together with my sister and my brother's girl friend stayed overnight.  It is a loft type of house with a leaf-roofed ceiling located at the hillside overlooking a stream.  This type of accommodation is popular among families and groups since it can accommodate up to a maximum of four persons.  With a floor area of approximately 50 square meters and an extended outdoor terrace, this villa is really spacious and well ventilated.

The Anahaw Family Villa is fully air-conditioned and has a good wifi connection.  Guests are given a complementary bowl of fresh seasonal fruits, herbal tea (pito-pito), and pure drinking water upon arrival.  In addition, they also provide handmade bathroom amenities such as coconut soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lemongrass, sea salt & coconut oil body polish, and virgin coconut oil produced from The Farm’s organic coconut plantation.  It's really a great experience to bathe using their organic products while gazing on the moon and the stars overhead a clear glass roof of their restroom, giving you somehow a country outdoor feel.
All the rooms in The Farm also has the basic amenities that hotels usually provide such as a safety deposit box, hair dyer, bathrobe, and slippers.  However, please take note that this villa has four single beds only and getting up/down the loft may be a little difficult and unsafe especially among children and the elderly since the stairs doesn't have a baluster.  Also, do understand that all rooms in The Farm don't have a television set since this resort is basically designed to give its guests an ultimate relaxing experience.

Sulu Terraces
The Farm has a total of five Sulu Terraces which are approximately 33 square meters in floor area.  This type of accommodation is inspired by the Philippine rice barns which has a rustic feel yet fully air conditioned indoors and can accommodate up to a maximum of two persons only.  The sleeping and seating area is located upstairs making it non-accessible to persons with disability, while a separate outdoor lounge and bathroom are located downstairs.  So basically, you would have to go outside the house and walk down the stairs in order to use the restroom, which I find a little inconvenient especially during the wee hours of the morning.

Aside from their basic amenities and complementary items, the Farm also provides an umbrella and a flashlight in every room which can be used by the guests when the need arise.  So as you can see, this wellness resort has already anticipated and prepared everything that you would possibly need during your stay.

That's it for my review of The Farm's accommodation.  I'll be writing about the resort's facilities and daily activities in my next post, so please do follow this blog.  Thanks!

  2. This seems a great place to connect with nature! Did they provide a crib for your little one? Or he slept on the single bed?
