Orange Wheels
6:48 AM"Hooray for Play!"
Orange Wheels is the newest play center in Abu Dhabi that will surely be loved and enjoyed both by the kids and kids at heart.
Located on the Ground level of Al Wahda Mall Extension, this recently opened kid's club boasts their state-of-the-art facilities that does not only promise hours of fun but safety and security as well -- for they have complied with the highest international safety standards and manned by staffs who passed proper certification.
A few weeks ago, my family and I were able to experience it first hand. The admission fee was a bit expensive at AED 60 per hour, but I must admit, it was definitely worth every penny! The place is huge and kids are allowed to be accompanied inside by more than two adults, unlike in other play areas where guardians are restricted to only two adults.
The facility is basically divided into two recreational areas: (1) From the Big Five's; and (2) Bubs and Tots. From the Big Five's is described as an adventurous playground featuring multi-level mazes, spiral slides, obstacle course, trampoline capsules, and even a climbing wall! On the other hand, Bubs and Tots is a smaller playground specially designed for kids below 5 years old, which includes a soft play area with slides and ball pools.
They also have a gym, a salon, an arts and crafts section, and a mini-village perfect for pretend play! Adults can also enjoy the place by indulging in a delicious snack by their in-house cafe or preoccupy themselves by shopping at their retail store.
Based from the photos above, I guess, it's pretty obvious that my son had an absolutely fantastic time here! To be honest, as a parent, I enjoyed playing too! (I know you must probably be laughing at me right now. But to be honest, this was actually the first time I have experienced a top-notch play area like this!) However, I just noticed that they have missed setting up a section specially dedicated to encourage or enhance a child's musicality. Perhaps, a mini-theater or a stage equipped with musical instruments will do. I can just imagine Rafa's excitement had he seen a kids electric guitar, a piano or even a microphone where he can pretend to be a rock star. (He's a big fan of music, just like his dad!)
Well, that was just my opinion, though. Nevertheless, I still consider Orange Wheels one of the best, if not the best, indoor play area in Abu Dhabi where you can take your children for a revolutionary fusion of education and entertainment.
