Dubai Miracle Garden
10:48 PMLast weekend, my family and I, together with our dear friends, drove all the way to Dubai to experience and explore the famous and touristy Miracle Garden. The last time we came here was two years ago and I must say that it still looks as impressive and as Instagrammable as ever!
I believe they do change their theme every season -- so there will always be something new to offer to the public. This year's absolute scene-stealer is the life-size version of the Emirates A380, covered with plants and flowers in full bloom. It's unbelievable! I cannot imagine how much time, effort, and money they have invested in putting up something as majestic as this. Hands down to all the creative minds and talented hands behind this jaw-dropping masterpiece!
The entrance fee of AED 40 entitles every paying adult (AED 30 for children 3 to 12 years of age) an access to the 72,000-square meter flower garden from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am - 11:00 pm on weekends and holidays. Please take note, however, that this attraction only operates during the cooler months of October to April.
Did I mention Dubai Miracle garden's total land area is 72,000 square meters? Well, I hope that fact is enough to let you know how important it is to wear a comfortable pair of footwear when visiting this place. Don't compromise comfort over fashion, please!
Outside food and drinks are also not allowed inside the garden, but there are many stalls where you can buy snacks and refreshments throughout the day. There are plenty of options to choose from, but what we loved the most is their fresh fruit juices and grilled corn on a cob -- it's healthier!
It took us about 2 hours of walking to tour the entire place -- that's about how many calories burned? I don't know. But what I really do appreciate is how Miracle Garden encourages people to exercise without even forcing it.
After the long and tiring walk, we decided to head over to Dubai Mall for the advance celebration of Ron's 36th birthday at Le Ten Restaurant. It was a simple lunch, nothing fancy. Actually, I haven't even got a present for my husband.. you know, #housewifeproblems. But I did wish him to have good health, long life, successful career, happy marriage, and a blessed family life. He smiled and said thanks. Then, I asked him what his wish was, he said: "I wish we could get our visa grant already." I was surprised. All the while I thought he was wishing to have a baby girl soon -- when that happens, we'll surely be hoarding all the pretty girly stuff available in the market (including this http://www.guitarcenter.com/Pink--Cases-Gig-Bags-Covers.gc in case she happens to be musically inclined too, just like his dad), but obviously, I was wrong. Anyway, I hope and pray that all his wishes and dreams would come true -- for anything that makes him happy, makes me happy, too!
Happy Birthday, my love!
