Emirates Park Zoo (Abu Dhabi, UAE)
2:16 AMCan you imagine we only have a few more days left before the third month of the year officially ends? Indeed, time flies! This truth does not only hold true to the hours and days that literally pass by, but to the fleeting opportunities we, parents, have to make happy memories with our kids.
I know I may have said this a million times already, but I would like to repeat it once more: "Kids won't be kids forever!" That is why my husband and I agreed to make the most out of our son's youth -- by spending time with him and creating lots of wonderful memories that he can cherish as he grows older -- because we know this stage in his life won't last long.
Anyway, since summer is about to arrive soon, we thought it would be a great idea for us to enjoy all the outdoor activities that we wish to do even before the city's temperature spikes to 40 degrees Celsius. Thus, our little family decided to go on an educational trip to Emirates Park Zoo -- the perfect place for kids to have fun while learning at the same time.
The Emirates Park Zoo is a small wildlife park located at Al Bahia, which is about 30 minutes drive from the city center. The entrance fee is pretty cheap at a price of AED 30 for adults and AED 20 for children (kids under 2 y/o are free of charge).
This was the second time we went to this place and we noticed that they seem to have fewer animals in the zoo this year. We didn't get the chance to ask any staff about our observation, but we think it could be possible that they had been significantly affected by the strong rains that poured over the city in the past weeks. Nevertheless, I believe my son, Rafa, still had a great time during our visit!
Here are some of our photos for you to enjoy!
